Opening Ceremonies
As a member of Toastmasters since 1987 and a District leader, I’ve attended several International Conventions. One of the highlights is the highly anticipated convention kickoff, the opening ceremonies! The flag ceremony always brings tears to my eyes. This year the flag ceremony will be digital. I suspect it will be equally as inspiring! Additionally, there is always an inspiring keynote speaker. I’ve never been disappointed yet!
World Champion of Public Speaking
Each year, thousands of Toastmasters, representing over 100 countries, battle for World Champion of Public Speaking. Golden Gavel
Toastmasters’ most prestigious award is the Golden Gavel. The Golden Gavel recipient is a non-Toastmaster individual distinguished in communication and leadership. As District Director, I was privileged to share the stage with Stephen Covey! WOW.
